Instructors

Claudine Beeson

RYT, Owner, Director. Claudine is a certified yoga instructor through the Kriya Yoga Temple in Chicago. Her curiosity to this thousand year old healing system led her to begin practicing in 2000. She soon discovered that the physical and mental benefits from yoga were something she wanted to share with anyone that was open to it. Her practice employs a balance of strength and flexibility, while focusing on correct alignment and breathing techniques that revitalize and calm the nervous system.

Jennifer Adams

Jennifer is both a massage therapist and yoga instructor. Jennifer graduated from the Dayton School of Medical Massage as a certified massage therapist and went on to be licensed by the Ohio State Medical Board. She developed her own private practice while working with a local chiropractor and then went on to earn her teaching certificate at the Kriya Yoga Temple in Chicago.

Jenny Bergold

Jenny Bergold is no stranger to the beauty of yoga and the art of teaching. Jenny has been practicing yoga since 1999 and taught multitudes of students about the dynamics of television studio production. Now, she has combined her two greatest talents – yoga and teaching – to provide students a revolutionary form of yoga, meditation and relaxation.

A 2009 graduate of the Heaven Meets Earth Yoga Studio in Evanston, Illinois, with an emphasis in the Radiant Child Yoga Program, Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa, and Meditation, Jenny's teaching style is uplifting, motivational and restorative. Previous to her yoga instructor training, Jenny worked at BATV (Batavia Access Television) where she also taught television studio production to Batavia High School students. A 1996 graduate of Ball State University, Jenny also worked at WTTW Chicago Channel 11 as an associate producer on such well known programs as Handy Ma’am, Trinity Irish Dance Company and Art Safari.

In October, Jenny will return to yoga teacher training to become a Kundalini Yoga instructor. She will be studying at Spirit Rising Yoga in Chicago.

Katie Bryan

Katie is a certified yoga teacher trained through the Moksha Yoga Center of Chicago, as well as a licensed massage therapist. Her dance background, combined with her knowledge of the body, greatly enhances her teaching style. Katies classes are creative, flowing, energizing, and relaxing as she shares with students her knowledge and passion of the yoga journey. Every breath is a gift, live moment to moment and enjoy this journey we are on!

Mandy Caverzasi

Mandys teaching is grounded in a commitment to her students. Having minored in dance and choreography in college, Mandy first took to the dance-like sequences of vinyasa yoga. An interest in ancient yoga traditions and philosophy led her to pursue her teaching certification at the Sivanada ashram in Kerala, India. Though the program was intense, she learned the importance of relaxing. In class, Mandy teaches to approach the postures from a calm and centered place. She says, When we let go and relax, we start to open up, physically and spiritually. Mandy currently studies the therapeutic application of Iyengar yoga with Gabriel Halpern of Yoga Circle and writes for Yoga Chicago. A new mom herself, she looks forward to teaching pre-natal yoga.

Sandra Coyner

Sandra is a certified yoga instructor through Total Body Yoga in Mundelein. She is also a Level II Reiki Practitioner. Sandra emphasizes linking breath with movement in a safe non-judgemental environment. Her favorite yoga quote is, "I have been in the final pose...there is nothing there." Meaning you dont have to do "advanced" poses or "intermediate" poses to get the full benefits of yoga; you dont even have to be flexible! Yoga is about the process, the journey and the experience.

Karin Decicco

Karin DeCicco, RYT 200, has been practicing yoga since 2000. She graduated in 2010 from the 200-Hour Teacher Training Program at Total Body Yoga in Mundelein, IL. Karin truly feels that yoga is for everybody. Her teaching style is invigorating and heart opening, with an emphasis on breath synchronized movement and body awareness. Her passion lies in leading classes that revitalize the bodies and minds of her students, reminding them that finding our inner joy and happiness is what we are all here to do. Her goal is to challenge and inspire her students to realize their full potential and find their true Self.

Mary Fischer

Mary is a certified Hatha Yoga instructor and RYT who graduated from the Temple of Kriya Yoga teacher training in 2004 and who has been practicing yoga since 2000. Mary blends her passions for yoga, self-discovery, and her study of earth-honoring traditions to create a class that opens our hearts, as well as our bodies, so that we can live more fully.

She uses the power of intention-setting to create a focus for each class and believes asana practice can help us gain greater insight into our lives. Her teaching emphasizes alignment and subtle movements to increase students awareness of the body, and she encourages focused in-turning so that students can deepen their understanding of their personal asana practice.

Mary tries to create a class that is challenging, yet nurturing, and hopes that students leave feeling more grounded, empowered and connected to their own intuitive selves.

Mary Roberts

Mary first became interested in yoga during the 1970s. After taking classes for a few years, she found a teacher from India, Sri Nerode with whom she studied privately for two years before beginning her teaching. She has continued her education by attending workshops and conferences over the years. She takes an integrated approach to her teaching by incorporating various yoga styles depending on the students level. It is a great class for someone new to yoga or who has been practicing for some time.

Jenny Thiede

Jenny fell in love with yoga while completing her student teaching at Arizona State University. She began teaching yoga classes as part of physical education curriculum in high schools. During the summer of 2011 she studied under Deborah Koehn to earn her 200-hour yoga teaching certificate on the beautiful Big Island of Hawaii. She loves sharing the powerful beauty of yoga with others and strives to create a comfortable, focused, and fun yoga class.
